The kids are fascinated by the picture of Uncle Steve from Hailey and Steve's blog of January 28th. Here is Taylor's impression that he always does when he sees that picture and he says "Uncle Steve goes like this!".
I just finished this book and it didn't take long! It's such a great mixture of Treasure Island and Peter Pan. It's the story of how Peter Pan became Peter Pan. I loved it and I'm off to the library to get the sequel and the third one as well! Anybody looking for a quick read, try this series. Co-written by Dave Barry no less! I love that guy!(okay, not actually LOVE that guy, Craig's got nothing to worry about!)
Taylor had a little mishap in the play room at Sportsclub the other day. They came and told me that he had bumped his nose and had a little bloody nose, but he was fine. So I went on with my class figuring he'd bumped into some kid, but went on playing. When I went to pick him up I found out just how wrong I was. His poor little nose was rubbed OFF! He thinks it's dirty and keeps asking me to wash it. The only thing I can figure is that he was running and pushing one of those oversized dump trucks and it got away from him and he stopped himself with his nose. Poor kid. He said he "cried and the lady got him a napkin".
We haven't had our family picture taken professionally for a long time so I had a local artist (Katie) do some drawings of us. The first one is Craig and Katie (with her hair in a pony tail, that's my favorite part) and Taylor. The yellow one has all of us, first Taylor, then Craig, me, and Katie. She does a great job of getting our hair color, eye color and clothes very accurately represented. I LOVE that she's drawing people finally!
GE has a formal event once a year and it's referred to as the "GE Prom". It's held at a hotel and everybody from GE Energy and GE Aviation is invited and it's formal. Dinner is served and dessert and appetizer and there's an open bar and then there's dancing. They even take your picture for free. We went on Saturday. It was a Mardi Gras theme. So funny be all grown up with kids and have prom! It was fun to get all dressed up and we doubled with these friends of ours from our ward. We had our sitter take the picture! I was going to get Craig a corsage, but he said he wouldn't wear it! :>
