Memorial Day Weekend

We had a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend. It's just too bad we didn't really go camping. But we did set up the tent in the backyard and the kids slept in it and played in it and have been asking for it ever since. Also we made s'mores(yummy). In town they have a big Balloon event and one of the balloons landed in our neighborhood! I thought they were going to hit our neighbors' house, but they didn't.

Black Widow Spider

This horrible(okay leisy doesn't think it's horrible) spider was in our garage. I banned the kids from the garage and sprayed it with the insect repellent and watched it die. It was sad to watch it die, but I told it "don't live in my garage and I won't have to kill you". I hope there aren't more! I told Taylor "there are big spiders in the garage that if they bite you, you will die!". Hopefully, he believes me.

Katie's Dance Recital

Here is Katie's debut as a prima ballerina! We also got a video of her doing her tap routine. So funny! I'm not thinking she's a natural at dancing like she is at swimming, but she seemed to like it and really liked performing. she's on the far left with the fuzzy hair! Enjoy! (we sure did)

A Happier Hello Kitty

Katie's all about Hello Kitty right now. Her invitations for her party were Hello kitty. She got a Hello Kitty balloon for her birthday and a new Hello Kitty backpack from Auntie Hailey. The only thing that Katie doesn't like about Hello Kitty is that she doesn't have a mouth. She needs a smile, so she added smiles to all the invitations and her balloon and her backpack! So cute!!

PARTY!! Pool PARTY!

Katie's 6th birthday is today, but she had a party with some friends from school, church and the neighborhood on saturday at the neighborhood pool!! The weather was 85 and gorgeous. Everybody had a wonderful time! Happy Birthday Katie!

The Suit that Grows with you! by Gymboree

Katie has been wearing this swimsuit since she was almost 3 and we moved to Kentucky. Yup, it's a size 3t. She's now in a 6 in most of her other clothes, but magically this still fits! go figure! I guess it was worth the $25 that I originally felt was too steep to pay.

Ode to Grandpa Howell!

Taylor had taken to wearing his baseball cap on the tippy top of his head reminding us of a little Grandpa Howell! WE LOVE YOU GRANDPA HOWELL!!

Thanks for the Dancing Monster

Thanks Hailey for this dancing monster!! Taylor loves it. It sleeps with him. The part at the end is all Taylor right now. "I'm SCARED!" Who knows what he's scared of. Mostly he's "scared" when he doesn't want to do something. hmmmm...I'm guessing fear is not our problem.
